Antique / Vintage Winthrop, Chemical Company Inc. Pontocaine tube of ointment/jelly with box, and included tube, and Ointment application apparatus. This ensemble shows great advertising, trademarks, logos, and directions of use.

The advertising on the tube and box show Winthrop Chemical Company Inc. New York , N.Y. Windsor, Ont. . Made in U.S.A. Top of box and tube label show 1 Ounce, and printed and USA.

The containment box top end show 1 Ounce. At the bottom, it shows Winthrop Chemical Company Inc.

This listing is great for the historical collector of advertising and medical ointments memorabilia.

The product containment box is a Light green, and Beige color with black lines and printed words, with the companies Winthrop logo, showing a forearm, holding a torch similar to the statue of liberty inside a circular feature. Winthrop is in bold letters across the centerline of the circular feature.

The product containment box shows numbers LU501 on a side panel,and is in Reasonably good shape, and measures approx. 4 5/8” L x 1 1/8“ W x 1 1/8 ”. on the back panel, of box are two handwritten marks. Containment box top fold end tab is missing as is the other side tab, the other two are reinforced with tape as shown in pictures.

The 1 Ounce tube label is also Light green, beige. The words and lines are in black, and on tube label back in middle is the eye-catching Winthrop logo is in black.

The tube appears to have been opened, It appears to be full and very little if any used. The tube itself Is in good shape. The label on the right side towards the bottom shows LU501. Tube label under Pontocaine shown in very small print, trademark Reg. U. S. Patent Office & Canada.

The tube round shaped screw cap has serrations on top and around the periphery.

Application apparatus supplied in containment box with ointment tube is a long cylindrical shaped tube used to apply ointment. It is black and has serrations around the connection end that attaches to the tube.
