COLONIAL KNIFE COMPANY Bartender\'s Pocketknife, Vintage: Fine example of a purpose-built tool. The blades on this knife are made to cut plastic/cloth/foil restraints on wine, liquor and champaign bottles then remove the corks. I am conflicted about the age of this knife; its appearance (and function) would be appropriate for the 1920s but Colonial Knife Company was only starting out early in that decade and I don\'t think they would have branched into specialty knives so soon. The pattern wouldn\'t have been made in the Great Depression/Prohibition 1930s or the war decade 1940s, and the knife looks too old for the 1950s.I\'ve guessed at the 1930s; if the reader has a justified suggestion as to its age, I will revise this ad page. The cutting blade has pitting on both sides but no rust; it has been sharpened a little; I think it has about 90% of its original height. Corkscrew was broken (but not bent) at some point but is sharpened at its new end. I\'ll let the buyer decide to use it or not. Bone handles are both cracked but complete, except for a chip at top of the badge. The knife has been cleaned outside and in the cavity and lightly buffed. Value is in vintage, usefulness, and rarity. Use it or polish it but don\'t forget how old it is.Mailing only to USA-48. Postage is usually between $5.00 and$6.26.
