HAND-COLORED BAPHOMET PRINT MATTED AND FRAMED
This famous image of Baphomet first appeared as the frontispiece to Volume II of Eliphas Levi\'sDogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie (Dogma and Ritual of High Magic) in 1854. It is a 19th century imagined version of what the Knights Templars were allegedly worshiping before their dissolution in the early 14th century.
It is here framed in a vintage brushed gilt recessed wooden frame with a double matte. The image used here was a high-quality b&w reproduction from 1987 which has now been hand-colored.
