This is an original antique Edwardian portrait of a family dating from around 1909-1911. The names of the family members are written on the back of the frame. Each member of the family can be located online. The mother’s name has been mistaken for one of the son’s wives, implying these names were added much later, yet other details in this estate allow for enough matching details to verify the father & children’s identity. Through their information the mother is also easy to name & locate. This slightly gilded antique frame is made of wood with appears to be a gold finish and adorned with golden decor. The antique glass within the frame has several bubbles, yet none that impede the view of the photograph within. The portrait is in black and white, well preserved with a slight sepia tone. The frame is rectangular in shape and has a portrait orientation, with hanging hardware affixed. This frame does show some signs of age. Two areas have slight chips in the finish, there is some discoloration, and the top left decorative piece appears to have melted away one petal of the floral embellishment at the top. The glass appears to have one slight scratch just over the left boys arm. See photos for more details. The frame could be polished, if that is an appearance you would prefer.
