This picture is 1904 , hose 1 ladder 1, kennedy plaza in front of the brand new Central fire station headquarters. Notice the old courthouse post office isn't built yet behind the wagons its still a blank lot, it was built in 1905.. the central station was finished in 1904 had that 8 story bell tower with the biggest bell in the city, the building was torn down after the 1938 hurricane in 1939 since it was on the river and the back foundation was damaged, it was also sold to the post office and is now the red brick John o Pastore building which stands in its place !!
