From a serious New YorkCity estate,we have a pleasure to offer you this fine Gilt Framed Antique Continental Oil Painting on Canvas of Sheep & Shearer. Featured is a large interior scene, with a shearer in the left side cutting the wool of the sheep, while it the front are the sheep that had their "haircut" already. Serenescene, goodantique French / English work dating back to mid 19th century. The painting is executed on canvas, contained in a carved gilt / gold frame.Paintingis not signed (may be, but hard to tell before the professional cleaning - see photos).The frame is a perfect match, rich gold pointing all of the attention to the fine painting. Frame is in overall good condition, painting shows 3 antique patches on the back, and a rip and flaking in front bottom left corner (please see the last photo). Size isgreat to fit anywhere 22.25" x 16" overall inthe frame, while the art portion is 17.5" x 11.5".Thisis agorgeouswork of art thatwill mesh with anygreatsetting !
