This recent find is from the Estate of a Retired NASA Aerospace Engineer who worked on Apollo through Space Shuttle Missions. He served as Project and Deputy Managers over multiple key programs including the Hubble Space Telescope receiving multiple Exceptional and Leadership Service Medals with one being for the Lunar Rover Vehicle/Skylab and THE SILVER SNOOPY for CHANDRA/AXAF/HUBBLE before Retiring in 1999 but staying on in a NASA Advisory position through 2009. Listing includes a 1999 NASA AXAF/HST Retirement Award Desktop Model for his contributions to the AXAF and HST programs from the Materials, Processes and Manufacturing Department. Wood base measures approximately 8.5"Wx10.5"Lx4.5"H and the engraved plated is 2"Wx8"L. Desktop Model is in Good overall condition for use and age with some expected age and storage wear including a slight curve to the clear composite base (See pic's #15/#16/#17) and to the engraved metal plate (Brass plate is not attached and has some thin scratching Overall piece including AFAX and Hubble Composite Toppers show some age and storage wear - Micro nick or 2). Piece just needs some loving care but is still fine to present as is. Badge shown in last picture is not included in listing, but shown only for reference.
