Maria Stepanovna Batrakova (Demidova) (November 21, 1922 - June 16, 1997) -

participant of the Great Patriotic War, battalion commander of the 463rd Infantry Regiment of the 118th Infantry Division of the 28th Army of the Southern Front.On September 30, 1943, the 1st battalion was to force the Molochnaya River. During the battle, Maria Batrakova replaced the deceased company commander and raised the fighters to the attack, seriously injured. For several days, the soldiers kept their height, despite the counterattacks of the enemy. Hero of the Soviet Union (1944), junior lieutenant, Honorary Citizen of Melitopol (1993).
