Vintage, 1977, original black and white photograph from photographer Ted Leysondepicting Blues Guitarist David “Honeyboy” Edwards (1915-2011). This original image was taken by paparazzi photographer Ted Leyson who is infamous for stalking Greta Garbo for 20 years! When I purchased this photo (along with another of Joe Willie“Pinetop”Perkins (1913-2011)) there was a small handwritten label attached that said the photos were for Ted Leyson’s Book Of Blues Singers. I was unable to reference this book so my assumption is that it was never published. Photograph is protected behind glass and professionally matted and framed in a white matting and contemporary wood frame. Backed with brown paper and ready to hang. Signed and dated on the reverse side by Leyson in marker. I have not removed the photo from the frame so I do not know if it is stamped or signed on the reverse side. Overall, a tremendous vintage Blues photograph that displays quite handsomely.
