1952 Smith Corona Sterling Portable Typewriter case:

Works terrific. Case is solid but has staining. This is a beautiful typewriter. IT SMELLS LIKE A MUSTY BASEMENT AT GRANNYS HOUSE. And isn't dirty but does have light dust.

Update: I left lid open a few days and it only has a slight smell of granny's basement now. Maybe it's the case, or maybe it sat in one place in basement for 60 years? Great piece and it's a terrific type writer.
