Vintagefold-out Penn Wells Hotel promotional map brochure, printed morethan 70 years ago.
- This brochure opens to 17" x22" and includes a map of Wellsboro and vicinity, includingPennsylvania's Grand Canyon, more commonly known as Pine Creek Gorge,in Tioga State Forest, a description of the gorge, with information onroads, trails, and lookouts, along with photographs.
- There are also photos of the hotel's interior, a scheduleof room rates, and information on Wellsboro and itsindustries, including the Corning Glass Works and the Borden MilkCompany.
- The brochure is undated and was published in the late1940s. The photoof the the bronze statue of Wynken, Blynken, and Nod on the Green in Wellsboropre-dates thewrought-iron fence installed by the Lions Club in 1950.
