Franklin Delano Roosevelt (January30, 1882– April 12, 1945), commonly known asFDR, was an Americanstatesman and politician who served as the 32nd president of theUnited States from 1933 until his death in 1945. He was a member of theDemocratic Partyand is the only U.S. president to have served more thantwo terms. His initial two terms were centred on combating the GreatDepression, while his third and fourth saw him shift his focus to America\'sinvolvement in World War II.

SirWinstonLeonard Spencer Churchill (30 November 1874– 24 January1965) was a British statesman, soldier, and writerwho twice served asPrime Minister of the United Kingdom, from 1940 to 1945 during the Second WorldWar, and again from 1951 to 1955. Apart from two years between 1922 and 1924,he was a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1900 to 1964 and represented a total offive constituencies. Ideologically an adherent to economic liberalism andimperialism, he was for most of his career a member of the Conservative Party,which he led from 1940 to 1955.
