- The map opens to 27\" x 19½\" and has great detail on old highwayalignments, including U.S. Route 66, with cartography by Rand McNally.
- There\'s atranscontinental map of the United States on the reverse side.
- The 5-panel service station illustration was painted by notedAmerican artist Rico Tomaso (1898-1985), whose work also appeared in TheSaturday Evening Post, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan,Woman\'s Home Companion, and Ladies\' Home Journal.
- Here he has created a lush landscape evoking the romance of automobiletravel, with two uniformed Sinclair attendants helping a happy couplein a shiny new convertible.
- The map was distributed by the Sinclair Oil Company in 1939 and isdated by the code number in the lower margin: U.3600.
