Compiled onto a DVD is a selection of scanned manuals for the R.C.A.F.(Royal Canadian Air Force) Canso amphibian airplane or flying boat as it wascalled.

The Canso (Catalina) was used for many roles within the RCAF includingsearch and rescue, cargo transport, patrol bombing, convoy escort and scout-reconnaissanceas part of anti-submarine duties.

Beyond being used by the RCAF the Canso (Catalina) was used by manynations during the war and afterwards, including the RAF, RAAF, RNZAF, USN, USSR,just to name a few.

These scanned items would be perfect reference material for anyone whohas an interest in the RCAF, or early aviation in Canada.

These manuals are chalk full of information, with some clearlybeing working copies with amendments glued in or added on, I can only imaginewhat different birds the crew and mechanics who referenced these would have workedon.

The manuals appear for the most part to be complete, but the maintenancemanual is missing at least 1 leaf, and a section divider.

All pages have been professionally scanned from the originals that Ihave in my collection. They have beendigitally rotated cropped, and saved as JPG format for easy viewing. Most turned monochrome for easy viewing orprinting should you wish to do that, while some relevant pages have been leftcolour.

These manuals should be used as reference only with regards to Canso/Catalinaaircraft and owners should use the most up to date information and guides fortheir aircraft.
