very detailed cast metal with dark bronze like patina estate used as shelf sitter but it may have been a bookend or door stop the weighing about 3 1/2 lbs it has been used but not abused. there are oriental marks on the books themselves I tried to show in photo.. good looking no matter how you choose to use it. last 2 photos taken in daylight so you can see day color the little wood platform came with so we are including with figure
