This is a vintage mid-century c1940’s “Smiths Enfield” chiming mantel clock with original instructions. This is in outstanding condition and is in full working order. It has a beautiful dome topped oak body with protruding feet. The oak has a dark brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain and a soft subtle shine. The face is circular in shape with raised brass numerals and brass hands. The face is protected by a convex glass door with a brass bezel.The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, chips or cracks. To the rear is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and also in excellent condition.This chimes (on a coil) on the hour (chiming the numbers of hours) and on the half hour (once). This comes complete with its pendulum and key. The clock was cleaned and serviced on the 7th May 2024.
