Offered is the Shore Instrument & Manufacturing Company Hardness Tester, Durometer Type "O". The Durometer is clean and in good condition. It is offered in its original case. Included is an accessory marked "Durometer, 60/7169". The Durometer itself is free of rust or major scratches or guoges-it has a few knicks and very minor scratches-it looks good. The glass lens is in good condition, all printed graphics on the scale are clear and readable with no wear. When squeezing the bottom ribbed part, the meter will deflect up to 10 or a little more. The case/box front reads, "The Shore Instrument & Mfg. Co, Jamaica, NY". Pick up the Durometer for your own collection. From the internet: Type O durometers measure the hardness of soft printing rollers, nylon, rayon, orlon, artgume, and textile windings. This information is for modern Durometers, but the Type O may be universal to this type of testing. Pick up the old tool for your own collection. US Made. Probably 1930's or 1940's vintage.
