From the base of the lamp to the top of the hook is approximately 37\". It does have paint missing, flaked off areas on the base near the power cord. It takes several minutes for the oil to start flowing. Not sure if that is standard or might need more oil. If you send me an offer and you don\'t live in what I believe is driving distance please also send a message if you are planning to be in my area, etc.
