These are ten official NASA Slides from 1962 of John Glenn\'s orbit around earth. On February 20th, 1962 John Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth. He was the only crew member on the Mercury Atlas 6 (MA-6) mission. Glenn was launched into space by an Atlas LV-3B launch vehicle, inside the Freedom 7 space capsule. The space craft made three complete loops around the planet. This packet of slides is a very big part of history.
