VINTAGE SMITH - CORONA Late 1930s TYPEWRITER with GLASS KEYS
This model of the Corona Standard Floating Shift Typewriter was made during the late 1930\'s and continued into the early 1940\'s. It is a special piece of history and is perfect for the writer who wants to work with nostalgic inspiration. It\'s also perfect as a decorator piece and a great conversation starter.
The body is in very good condition having no dents. Also all 4 pads that stabilize this solid machine are in excellent condition. All keys work and are in great condition. This piece of history has GLASS keys inset in steel. They are clear without scrapes, fogging or scratches. The carriage advances perfectly while typing and the return lever works like a charm. The black ribbon is still in the machine but is almost out of ink. This model can take a tricolor ribbon. Professional cleaning is recommended.
The Corona can sit alone or inside it\'s leather carrying case. The case shows it\'s age as the corners are slightly worn with noticable surface scrapes. The latch on the case does not lock but is repairable.
