This is a set of Japanese Maneki-neko also known as Beckoning Cat in excellent condition. There is no chips, cracks or crazing, but bottom has got a dirt slightly.
Maneki-neko is a common Japanese figurine (lucky charm, talisman) which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner and can be found with either the right or left paw raised. Either way the other hand is holding a 10 million ryo (an old Japanese gold coin) to invite wealth.The significance of the right and left raised paw differs with time and place. Some say that right is for home and left is for business.They are hand made, entirely hand painted by craftsman, so their shapes and paints are slightly different individually.
