Very rare typewriter. Only 1,000 manufactured. They were made in the late 1800s. This one comes with a letter from the Michigan State University museum describing the typewriter in detail. It also comes with a letter from the previous owner to the editors of country living magazine in which he was inquiring of the value and information. Visually it appears to be in nice condition. However, I have not tested this in any way and I'm not sure of the function. There are a few extra pieces as you can see in one of the photos that we will include with it.
