Vintage MCM massive and beautiful wood carving of a Sperm whale on a pedestal stand. I am not sure of the age of the carving or the type of wood used, but appears to be a hardwood with tight grain. The whale sculpture without the stand measures approximately 35” long, 8” tall and 2 1/2” wide. With the stand it measures 35” long, 14” tall and 4” wide. The wooden base measures 20” long, 4” wide and 1 7/8” tall. Weighs approximately 14 pounds. Beautifully carved with a rustic look just right for the maritime decor or man cave. I currently have it setting in our gathering room. The whale is all that is for sale in this listing. Great looking piece with dark wood grain finish, some white and black color where appropriate.
