Adorable vintage advertising booklet for Friehofer's Bread and Cake"Magic Trip Around the World"
Photo on the front is a cruise ship with people waiving at it.Back cover is an image of a Freihofer delivery wagon "The man who serves your grocer with Freihofer's Bread and Cakes"Insider each page is split with half of page full color illustration of a travel theme and the right side blank with a "hidden picture" with instructions to "RUB HERE" But if you hold it at an angle to the light you can see the design. Nothing has been filled in, but if I remember these correctly, when you rub on the image, it darkens to pencil weight. Each hidden image is an ADVERTISEMENT for Freihofer with the first hidden image being a chef with a poem under " The Smiling Freihofer Baker Man; toils each day with oven and pan; making only the best of things to eat; Oh Boy! What Goodies! Each one a treat!"
At the top of each page is a message to children following the travel/around the world theme. The first one says "Dear Children...All abourd for the magic trip of Freihofer and their little friends to many lands where you will see strang children, strange customes and strage foods, and learn how they grow to be big and strong by eating lots of the world's greatest food...the "Staff of Life"...which you will see by runnign the right half of the loaf on the following pages with a coin, spoon or pencil."

see photos for detailed condition (this is the item you will receive). It's in amazing condition for its age. All pages present and well attached by staple binding. rubbings have NOT BEEN TESTED. Assuming they will work, but since it's effectively New Old Stock in pristine condition, did not want to risk filling them in. Even if the rubbing effect no longer works, it doesn't matter - it's still a beautiful piece.
