Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage biomorphic table lamp that was manufactured by Brest Mfg, Chicago. Circa \'60s. Materials: Plaster. The surface of the lamp is textured, and gives off a faux-wood appearance (see photos). Color: Black. The lamp comes with its original matching finial (see photo). It is stamped on the back off to the side towards the bottom of the base: Brest Mfg. Co, Chicago (again, see photo). No shade present - that\'ll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. This lamp will make a definite statement wherever it ends up. It\'ll make a nice addition to any modern interior setting.
Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 32.5\" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial), and approx. 19\" tall (measured to the top of the light socket). The plaster base measures approx. 16\" tall x 9.5\" wide x 6\" deep. The bottom of the base measures approx. 8\" wide x 6\" deep. The finial measures approx. 3.75\" tall.
Condition: The lamp is in great condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp - there are no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
