This card is for another quackery product, \"Green\'s August Flowers,\" which ws made by the G.G.Green company of Woodbury,New Jersey and Toronto, Canada. Ailments such as dyspepsia, paralysis, dizziness, sleeplessness are all cured or helped according to the printed statements on the back of the card. The fron of the card show a bucolic scene of a healthy family feeding the chickens which doesn\'t seem to be associated with the card in any way. What is a bit funny about the back of this card is that the company criticizes other companies for making false claims and that druggists everywhere claim the \'Green\'s August Flowers,\" is the best medicine. When I google G.G. Green there is quite a bit about this wealthy entrepreneur(1842-1925) who owned a multiple of companies including other patent medicines such as Dr. Boschee\'s German syrups. The problem with his medicines is that they contained significant amounts of laudanum, an opiate. One very successful business was also his production of various almanacs, including selling 5,000,000 in 1883 alone which seems impossible with such a smaller population then as well as battling other almanac competitors.Combined shipping for trade cards
