Very rare cased microscope slides by Abraham Ypelaar. c.1790 complete with original handwritten list.24 slides of beetles and related specimens. Each small cell is numbered.
The drawer retains its original glass cover that is recessed into the drawer top.
The case measures just 84mm x 65mm x 16mm.
These cased sets are very rare on the open market, as surviving examples are mainly in museums or in private collections. This sale is for 1 set. I have a few others available, see last image.
See images for condition. Commensurate with age. One cell has a split in it and a few of the specimens show some minor damage/losses. These slides are around 230 years old.
