I believe this is crystal, it has some of that sparkle you commonly see in crystal, although I cannot get that high pitched ring (probably due to the thickness of the glass). It is very thick and heavy, weighs nearly 4 pounds. Probably at least mid century or earlier. Diamond hobnail pattern on the bottom and stopper.This was from an antique store bulk purchase that had been closed since the early 80\'s.
