Vintage LM Royal Halsey 3 footed tea cup and reticulated saucer iridescent with black, classical roman figures and painted gold rim on a wooden black display base.
This is a stunning vintage L M Royal Halsey black Very Fine china tea cup and reticulated saucer. This lovely tri-footed cup and saucer is marked: L (Crown) M (Lipper & Mann) Royal Halsey Very Fine. Lipper International originally started as Lipper & Mann and organized in April 1946 as an importer of fine glass and ceramic items. These items were imported from Czechoslovakia and other European countries. They had a showroom on Fifth Avenue, New York and began importing items from Japan in 1947 that included figurines, porcelain tea cups and saucers, tea kettles and dinnerware sets in porcelain, earthenware and other tableware serving items. This set is trimmed and accented with gold. The reticulated saucer with a Grecian cherub scene in the middle measures approximately 5 3/4 inches in diameter. The tri-footed tea cup with a Greican cherub scene on the inside and outside measures approximately 2 5/8 inches in height and 2 7/8 inches across the opening.
