Isn't plastic supposed to be bad?

Normally, yes. We tend to stick with materials like titanium, copper, and bronze because of their toughness and corrosion resistance, just for fun, we ordered someUltem® 1000and did a run of Bolt Action pens. Ultem has high mechanical strength and heat resistance which makes it ideal for harsh environments. The diameter is slightly wider than our normal line but the action is so incredibly smooth we don't think you'll mind.
