Ranlett of Newton, Massachusetts. Certificate has the embossed 1888 seal of the company. (6 1/2" x 10") **NOTE** - Seth Alonzo Ranlett, First Lieutenant, Adjutant of the 36th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, was one of the writers of the "History of the Thirty Sixth Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers 1862-1865 ".
