Starbucks and the San Diego Zoo joined together to raise awareness - and financial support - to help save endangered species through an annual Art Contest. Judges selected Gloria Chadwick\'s beautiful portrait of flamingos.

Here\'s a quote from Gloria: \"It was a terrific honor to win the competition and everything was sold out within 6 weeks. $2.00 from each sale went to the program CRES which promotes the genetic study and preservation of our most exotic animals. The flamingos I painted are located at the front of the zoo, opposite the entrance and its a common meeting place for people to meet at the zoo. When I made the painting a new exhibit was being constructed. As a native San Diegan its such a priviledge to have access to the world\'s finest collection of birds, animals and plants. I\'ve watched in humble amazement that my quick painting has some admirers.\" Gloria Chadwick
