Actually I found plasma ball, for next "Plasma tube" is perfectly fit vintage made in ex-USSR spectral tube LK-3 that filled with neon gas for science and research of materials.
Before there was version for LT-2, more smaller spectral tube and I will add LT-2 tube also to your order as a gift.
As for me looking nice and also can be collectible thing because every spectral tube have an element inside.Tube on photo have "MoWCrV" - Molibden, Wolfram, Chrome, Vannadiy(just as this shop calling:)) element inside. For your request - I could found another or will send this if you not notice your prefer.
Plasma tube having sci-fi look and powered by USB or 4x AA batteries. You can power it even from notebook, but I don't recommend you to do that, because that generate high voltages and sensoric parts of notebook like touchpad could work with false signals.
