P T Barnum's Roman Hippodrome Circus Performance Advertising Poster Paper mounted on wood.

Approx 8”x11.5”. Poster is approx 7.5” x 11”.

This was acquired in an estate. We have tried to research its authenticity but we’re unable to tell if it is truly antique or just a nice vintage reproduction.

We were able to find the original advertisement online and it is word for word the same. It is definitely showing some age. There are some minor flaws from scratches or fading in the smaller writing.

It appears to have been glued onto this painted block of wood.

Either way it is a great piece of memorabilia from the days of the Great Circus! Barnum was an innovator and had an amazing mind.
