Woman Moorhead Edmundson(1906- 1992).Carolyn Moorhead Edmundson's creative work was predominantly inspired by the 1920s.Born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania on December 20, 1906, she was the daughter of Elvin R. Edmundson and his wife Carolyn Ward Schroth.She/lived in New York and California.Carolyn Edmundson is known for Painting, design, illustration, commercial art.
According to the 1910 census, she lived in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. Public records indicate that she lived in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, California in 1935. She died in Santa Barbara, California on November 29, 1992.
WOMAN OF WAR (WOW):During WWII and issued by the U.S. Public Health Service to promote enlistment into the United States Nurse Corps. The Cadet Nursing Corps was authorized by Congress and signed into law by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1943 and operated until 1948. More than 124,000 student nurses graduated from the program and the program itself was credited with helping to alleviate acute shortages of qualified civilian nurses during World War II. There were a number of highly collectible WOW recruitment posters createdduring WW2.
