"Afghan" exists in the winter or summer version. Summer "Afghan" consists of 3 parts: a summer jacket (with fastened cuffs), trousers and a cap. The winter version of the "Afghan" consists of 4 parts: a winter jacket (with straight cuffs), a liner for a jacket, high-waisted trousers and a liner for trousers. In the original version, the lining was fastened with buttons. Further, the lining was made in the version fastened exclusively with buttons. The liner can be worn without outer clothing, and outer clothing can also be used without a liner. Behind the collar of the jacket there is a pocket for laying a hood made of waterproof synthetic fabric. The sleeves of the liner have wool-blend knitted cuffs that tighten the wrists to prevent heat loss. The lining for the jacket includes a fur collar, usually made of faux fur, although sometimes with natural. If the jacket is worn without a lining, then the collar is a regular fabric. An ordinary Afghan woman has patch pockets: two pockets on the sleeves, on the chest and on the waist, an inner pocket on the jacket, an inner pocket on the liner and an inner pocket on the jacket for a pistol. The pistol pocket was made of leatherette and had a sewn-in nylon cord with a chrome-plated steel carbine latch for attaching to the pistol.
