This map is drawn on a scaleof 1:50,000,and the coverage area is bounded by longitude 83°00\'00\" W to 83°07\'30\"Wand latitude 29°07\'30\" N to 29°15\'00\" N.
Details include roads, shoreline features, navigationalaids,water depths, ship channels, and individual homes and buildings.
Among the specific named places and features are CandyIsland, Way Key, Gulf Hammock,Hodgson Hill, Lone Cabbage Reef, Suwannee Sound, Rattlesnake Key,Steamboat Gap, HogIsland,Giger Creek, Black Point Swamp, Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge,Seabreeze Island, and Lewis Landing Field, today known as the George T.Lewis Airport,which has the shortest paved public runway in the state of Florida.
