Original large-format 1947 color lithographed topographical map ofparts of Washington and Bay counties, north of Panama City i Florida's Panhandle, printed more than 70years ago.

This map was compiled andpublished by the Corps of Engineers, U.S.Army Map Service and is drawn on a scale of 1:25,000, with contourintervals at 10 feet.
The image area measures 22" x 19",and the coverage area is bounded by longitude 85°37'30" W to 85°45'00"Wand latitude 30°22'30" N to 30°30'30" N.
The map labels numerous lakes and ponds, and it locatesdirt roads constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps.It even shows individual homes and farms, although they are very few in number.
Among the specific named places and features are StateRoad 52 (today SR 77),the only paved road in the coverage area. Also: Merial Lake, Burnt MillCreek, PineyPond, Court Martial Lake, Long Lake Slough, Tank Pond, White Western Lake, BluePond, andthe community of Crystal Lake.
Condition:The map is in very good, lightly usedcondition. It is an ex-library map,and there areold library markings in the lower margin and a coupleof closedtears in the upper and lower edges. It is blank onthe back, with no printing on the reverse side. Please see thescansand feelfree to ask any questions.
