This offeringis for a Dietz Vesta railroad lantern for the NYCS, New York Central System. The globe is also a Dietz Vesta. The lantern is 10 inches tall with the handle down and 15 inches with the handle up. It is 6-1/2 inches long and 6 inches wide. There is a used wick. The lantern is marked New York Dietz Vesta U.S.A. on the top and N.Y.C.S. on the metal part just above the globe. There are 5 patent dates and the last one is 1942. The globe is marked Dietz, Vesta, new York U.S.A. , N.Y.C.S. on one side and CNX on the other side. This is in very good vintage condition. Zoom the pictures to see more details.
