VINTAGE RARE GENUINE NASA APOLLO ERA KSC SCAPE HELMET. This is a NASA Apollo era SCAPE HELMET (toxic fuel handling). SCAPE stands for Self Contained Atmospheric Protection Ensemble. This is an original ESCAPE HELMET from the Kennedy Space Center. This well-worn HELMET, WITHOUT GLOVES, WITHOUT SUIT, and WITHOUT BOOTS, was made for use by those transferring dangerously volatile and corrosive propellant fuel to and from rockets at the Kennedy Space Center, or other emergencies requiring personal protection. The interior of the HELMET still has parts of its original springs and parts. The helmet has large numbers on both sides, it is marked \"SMALL SHORT\". The helmet also retains its NASA/KSC PROPERTY tag on the interior. This genuine NASA Apollo era SCAPE HELMET is an interesting addition to any space collection. The HELMET retains the original \"NASA property\" metal. labels and identification numbers.
