While the television series was broadcast in black-n-white, the Topps trading cards were all in bright colors. Sometimes the stories on the back of the cards matched the telecast story; sometimes the stories had very little resemblance to the episodes telecast. Children loved the set for its gory monsters, while parents and parental groups work to have the set destroyed. The original set is worth a fortune today, if you can find a complete set.
