This is an original poster from the Mickey Thompson Off-Road Championship series held in Oakland, CA. Mickey Thompson Entertainment Group (MTEG ) brought Off- Road Racing and the excitement of the Mexican 1000 and Baja off road races to the Oakland Coliseum. This is a pristine 18" X 26" poster that was used for the original promotion. This VERY rare example was never used and kept in protected storage. It is a bright pink and yellow background with black, blue, pink, white graphics and black and white photos. The date on the poster is Nov. 2, However; I am not sure of the year. I believe it was in 1990. If you know the year or have any other information on this event, please let me know.

Mickey Thompson was the founder of SCORE International a leading promoter of the Mexican 1000, Baja 500, and numerous Off-Road racing events. It was his vision to Bring "A chunk of Baja" to the arena. The original event was held at the Los Angeles Coliseum and was ground breaking as far as bringing any type of auto racing to a smaller venue like a coliseum. Other races were held in San Diego, San Francisco, Pasadena Rose Bowl etc.

FYI. I will roll this carefully and send it in a tube to maintain the integrity.
