WoW! This lamp is a vision! A marvelous mid century designthat is clean, stylish and yet so functional!
Bill Lam Studios was one of the pioneers in using molded fiberglassin lighting and this lamp is a wonderful example of his tilting fiberglassshade reflection lamps.
A huge 14" fiberglass shade sits on a clean steel frame thatfollows the lines of the simple ebony cone shade.Here it can be tilted about 40 degrees to either side of the frame.The result puts light where you want it most!An elegantly brass trimmed push button turns the lamp off/on.This is a wonderful surviving lamp with original black enamelin very fine shape. The steel frame is really nice and the
fiberglass is still superb. Presents beautifully!
This is a really rare lamp and a marvelous find for thecollectors of early "pure" mid century modernismwhich had its golden age from 1945-1953.
