Zurvan is the archetypal “Lord of Infinite Time & Infinite Space” who’s name is found on ancient cuneiform tablets as far back as the 12th century BC. Descended from the Sumerian creator god Ea-Enki, who was also encircled by serpents, Zurvan was Persia’s chief deity before the advent of Zoroastrian religion.Symbolizing the cyclic nature of Time and the return of all things to their origin, Zurvan became Kronos under the Greeks and Romans and was incorporated into the Roman cult of Mithra.
