This is a reliable K-type thermocouple probe. The sensor isat the tip of a 3ft long wire probe, which has a double PFA plastic insulation.This Teflon PFA based high temperature insulation is easier to clean than fiberglass insulation. It has a miniature type connector that will work with mostdigital K-type thermometers. This probe can used to measure air or gastemperatures, it can be attached to pipes or embedded into objects you want tomeasure. The k-type thermocouple has a high-quality plug made from compensationmetals (Chromel and Alumel), stamped on each blade. The thermocouple plug alsocomes with a white label field, so that you can mark or number your sensors.

This k-type thermocouple has a wide range of applications inengineering, the laboratory, in biology, chemistry and physics, as well as inengineering.

This thermocouple PK-1will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer, but the insulation will become brittle below -58F. I have tested this down to -328°F (-200°C) with my thermometer DT1311 and DT1312. The thermometers DT804, DM6801, DT804A and DM6801 only measure to -58°F.
