I used to manage a gift shop at the Palmer House Hilton in the 1980.This little chimpanzee was one of a set of Artesania Rinconada animals that I sold in my store beginning in 1981.The store display was a large "Noah's Ark" and so with the shipment we received two of every animal designed I selected and then received in the store. I bought several pieces as gifts and also for myself. This was one of my very favorites at the time.I am now thinning my many collections.Perhaps this is a piece that you would love to add as an object of interest in your own home?These make lovely gifts as each is hand-carved and unique. Designs are similar but no two are identical.
