Purchased via Chinese Minerals & Fossils [El Monte, CA USA & Vancouver, BC Canada] in the 1980s added to an avocational paleontologist\'s large personal collection. Specimen was cleaned/dried after purchase and placed in a closed display case with other dinosaur bones.
According to the retailer, it\'s identified as \"Possibly Hadrosaur\", from Yisan, Hubei Province, People\'s Republic of China in the Kaoguo Formation. Printed information sheet provided notes Cretaceous age of 100 million-years-ago. There are over a dozen, visible, exterior shell fragments embedded on all sides of the egg-shaped clay matrix.
This specimen is from a non-smoker home, where the collection is being down-sized and offered to like-minded fossil folks.
Great starter specimen for someone collecting dinosaur or other prehistoric fossil eggs and a nice addition to any one\'s fossil collection.
