Burmite (Burmese) amber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky resin during the time of the dinosaursand is being mined in the Hukawng Valley in Myanmar(Burma).

InDecember of 2016,a portion of the tail of a small dinosaur wasreported in a piece of burmite amber, and in June of2017, a nearly complete extinct bird was reported in this material!

There have since been other fascinating finds reported includingthat of a frog in 2018!

NOTE: I have been selling Burmite (Burmese) amber for years on. Many of the new sellers from China have only started in the past year. Iam a reputable Burmite amber seller.

In regards to the Chinese, just because it originated from Chinadoes not mean it is fake. Myanmar (Burma) borders with China so many roughBurmite amber pieces are prepared in China for sale.

This is a fully polished piece of Burmite (Burmese) amber that contains a nicely preserved beetle that coexisted with the dinosaurs.

This insect would have been trapped from the time of the dinosaurs including T-Rex and Triceratops!
