The devil is in the details! This beautiful little bottle is a clear and clean example of cobalt glass from 1910-1920.
The bottle is 3.25\" tall, and the perfectly-legible though aged label is still attached. The glass itself is a beautiful cobalt blue.
As mentioned on the label and in period advertisements, \"Denthol Local Anaesthetic\" boasted \"Painless Extraction\", \"No Sore Mouths\", \"Assists Healing\". Well, this is explained in the details of the ingredients on the label: \"This preparation contains only 6-10 of 1% of cocaine with menthol, thymal, bento-boracic acid, etc.\" That might be a clue as to the painless extraction!
This item is a lovely piece of dental and medical history, perfect for display. Reading the ingredients from long-ago may also provide a chuckle or two, as it did for me!
