This taxidermy piece features a beautiful display of a Clouded Apollo (Parnassius mnemosyne) with some preserved flowers and plants and tree bark.
The intricate details and vibrant colors of the butterfly and flowers makes a really neat display.
The frame is vintage so there is some wear. The display itself was hand crafted by me and the flowers and wood was foraged and the butterfly was sourced from a vintage russian butterfly collection. The insect itself is at least 50 years old, and has damage from age.
